About Us

“Unhealing wounds and bedsores is very serious problem which concerns many elderly people and people with movement disorder. Nearly 15% of people staying in the hospitals develop bedsores. To avoid bedsores and to minimize their dangerous complications, it’s necessary to educate both the patients, and the staff of hospitals. This is done by the Wound and Pressure Sore Management Association “

 THE AIM

The aim of the Wound and Pressure Sore Management Associationis to unite doctors dealing with unhealing wounds and with bedsores, as well as to inform doctors, patients and health care staff on unhealing wound prophylaxis and treatment methods.

The Wound and Pressure Sore Management Association provide with the following services:

• Risk assessment for your patient or family member to develop bedsore;
• Concrete and effective advice on bedsore prophylaxis;
• Advice and detailed instructions for identification and treatment of bedsores at their initial stages, which usually takes place at home or at general treatment hospital unit;
• Recommendations on what to do in case of developed deep bedsore to maintain patient’s health and life.
